It is really sad when you get really excited over a new vacuum cleaner. I was influenced and my old vacuum died.  Go Clean Co recommended the Cleanview Swivel Pet Rewind Bissell Pet.  It is awesome and love the huge canister. It is a heavier vacuum.

Good to see you go, Russell Wilson. Don't let the door hit you in the behind. I have been a  Seahawk fan since moving up here. I couldn't watch last year. It wasn't team play. I think Russell Wilson is awesome athlete and he really launched the Seahawks into the spotlight. I just think this era is over.

I am into sports than most people know. I know really nothing about football and basketball, but I watch a lot of it. I am really there for the stories and the underdogs. I don't care if a team loses but go down fighting. Hey, I am a Blazers fan, so I know a lot about losses. When it ceases to be a good story, or the person becomes a villain. I am out.

Saw this video and after cleaning some of my craft supplies up gave it a go. Marsha Valk's rainbow's are fabulous but this is a very accessible project.

A gelli pad is great for print making. This was the result of playing around for about 10 minutes.  It was great to use up some craft paint as well.

Post from when I first got my gelli plate back in 2016. I think now Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Joann's all carry this product.

I took my dog to the vet on Valentine's Day.  He was not a fan of our Valentine's date nor the bath beforehand. It was just for a routine physical.  He let me know quite loudly afterwards that he had been wronged.  I am pretty sure he said, "This is BS!".  He gave our date zero stars.

I am a extremely low maintenance person. I don't wear make-up.  But over the holidays I painted my nails.  I painted them a very bold red color. I got so many comments on them even from strangers. The guy at ACE Hardware told me he loved my nails. I think he might of been flirting.  It was awkward. I loved it. The color is sally Hansen  #470 Unbreakable Heart. Somehow that fits me. BUT who comes up with nail color names. It is probably the same people who come up with paint colors.

Weekly Roll - The Deep Freeze

 Inappropriate Thoughts

I have a confession, "I don't ever want a white Christmas."  The kind of snow we receive up here in the Pacific Northwest just barely south of the Canadian  Border,  the upper left, is not hallmark snow. We have what is called the Frasier Outflow.  We got the white Christmas with wind chill, drifting snow, and frozen pipes and more ill timed snow  Spent most of the week in negative numbers due to wind chill. When I am that cold, I have seriously inappropriate thoughts. I actually sent a text to my friend that says - finally flushes.  If that isn't inappropriate and a testament to my friend who actually understood that, I don't know what is.

50 Sun Project

Well I had quite the driving morning on 12/30/21.  This is 15/50. I had my son take this sunrise picture. We had 6 inches of snow and I drove in 4 x 4 for the first time. The picture is deceptive because this was the clearest part of the road at 9 am .  Maybe this isn't really a sunrise picture but going to count it as one.

This was taken on the last day of the year - 12/31/2021. This is 16/50 in the sun project. My husband pointed out to me this clearly shows hallmark snow.  I have to say that 12/30 and 12/31 were actual days with sun and no wind so I guess maybe hallmark worthy.

I was getting my hair cut and this came on the radio.  It took the hair dresser and I a few seconds to figure out who was singing this rendition.  I had never heard this before. This version might not be for anyone. I also got called "cute" at the hairdresser. I will take it especially since came from another gray haired lady.

Weekly Roll

Picture of my oldest son with his tree.  He is a big peanut, winnie pooh, stitch fan so a lot of that is reflected in his decorating.

Inappropriate Thoughts

I think government generates to much paperwork.  I am in charge of my son's paperwork and the picture above is literally just this year's paperwork from mainly two agencies.  He has been slammed the last couple of months with interviews from said agencies and reviews.  I realize these are important. They are also stressful and literally since June there has been no let up.  These agencies while serving disabled people have forms and procedures that make able people question their sanity.

That is a quality picture there complete with my thumb. Yes that is the inside of the toilet. My week was literally in the toilet. My son's bathroom toilet has issues.  I replaced the flapper. The toilet was running constantly. That fixed that. Then it wouldn't flush.  Finally adjusted the chain etc.  I am not a plumber and my boys bathroom was vile.  They are normally in charge of the cleaning. I deep cleaned it in June.  I obviously need to supervise this more closely.  I literally wanted to burn my clothes and the dog kept sniffing me.  I know you are here for this riveting content.

Pain Points - I don't know if your daily living/housekeeping you constantly run into things that bother you or cause you angst. For me lately it has been a drawer that houses all my big spatulas and other weird utensils.  Guess what? I cleaned it out and organized it. I can find stuff. It took 5 minutes.  I have wasted more time looking for stuff in that dang drawer than it took to organize.  Pain Points is a term a instagrammer  Jordan  Page- fun, frugal, free uses.  Got a pain point that can be resolved with about 5 to 10 minutes of work. Need a system so you don't have a pain point. It is worth it.  I think pain points can be used to describe things a lot of things in life. Got an appointment need to make but have been putting off,  a call or email to return, need to clean out email inbox.  Maybe 5 minutes won't solve big things but it can solve a lot of little irritations.

Also below is me too. See screenshot. This is also me.

Sourdough Update

Well I tried a sourdough recipe from a special edition magazine called Bread.  I actually borrowed it from the library but kept it so long I finally found a copy to buy (Tractor Supply) I tried their loaf recipe for sourdough.  This contained whole wheat.  My loaves looked great on top but slightly burned on bottom. My kids liked it though. Loved the foil sling to place dough in heated dutch oven and remove bread.

Schools don't make good neighbors.  I have lived next to a elementary school for about 12 out of the 15 years I have lived here.  Last weekend was a BANNER weekend at the Elementary school.  One of the interesting things about the elementary school behind my house is it has a large covered area that has basketball hoops. It is also lit.  Below is the text I sent my sister about Friday night at the elementary school.

Listen up unauthorized midnight basketball players and concert promoters. I know it was only 10 but either you need to play slow jazz so I can sleep or 80's rock so I can jam out. I don't think the music you were playing by playing ball would impress Dame Lillard (Portland Trail Blazer). Get with the program. If you are going to play in the echo chamber by my house, show up with some skills and better music.

Secondly, High School Homecoming was held outside on the covered basketball court. They were not allowed in the school even for the restroom. They brought in port a potties. No I was not instrumental in that though I like to think I was. It was loud.  The music just pulsed and bounced off my house however it ended basically at 10. It was probably cleaned up by 1030.  I don't know what a normal homecoming looks like but to me it seemed weird.  I applaud them for making it happen. The BEST thing about this whole experience was they didn't turn the court lights back on. So late night basketball didn't happen Saturday or Sunday night.  Unfortunately they were back at it sans music however Monday night.

Experimental Cooking aka Ugly Food

I tried to make Jill Winger's French Bread from The Prairie Homestead Cookbook.  Don't bake when flustered. The bread is ugly but delicious.
