I watched the sneak peak of the new Matlock. I thought it was great.  Maddie Matlock, the character, brought up a great point how old ladies are invisible. I am not exactly an old lady, but I am also not listened too.  I have had a lot of that lately. My husband has a job where people always listen to him. It is actually other people's job to listen to him. I am jealous of that. 

Road Trip Podcast List

 I like to listen to podcasts on road trips. I find that I don't zone out so much. I am into unsolved crimes and missing people. Sometimes I shake it up with other things.  

The Vanished - this is about missing people. I especially like the ones where I am familiar with the location - Episodes 444 and 445 about Geoffrey Spangler (Las Cruces, NM) and Episodes Susan Marable (Yakima, WA)

Hide and Seek I think all 3 seasons are great. The first two seasons are cases in Washington State. I can wait for season 4.

Your Stupid Opinions - This is by two comedians and can be a bit on the raunchy side not suitable for all ages. They read through Yelp reviews. Some of the tamer episodes are - Episode 44 and Episode 46

Oh, I have so many of these thoughts lately.  Have you ever tried to get rid of a pool table?  We have had our beast for 18 years.  It has served many purposes but lately just a dumping ground.  In case you are wondering it cost $34 to dispose at the dump.

Hide and Seek Podcast - For all of you that are true crime/missing people podcast followers. Season 3 has dropped. James is investigating the disappearance of Brittany Wallace.  

The Vanished Podcast - Really enjoying this missing person podcast.  They do updates as well. 

We Can Do Hard Things - Specifically the one with Jen Hatmaker talking about her divorce. For those not familiar with Women Bible Studies and Women of Faith Jen Hatmaker is a mover and shaker in that community and a frequent lighting rod. I found it interesting 

Emily D Baker - Legal Commentator and she covers all the celebrity legal proceedings.  I love her podcast AND youtube.  Total tune in every week.

20 years later

 It is hard to believe 9-11 happened 20 years ago. I have published several times what I journaled in one of my child development classes on that day - journal entry

I recently listened to a podcast called Missing on 9-11. It is about a doctor, Dr Sneha Anne Phillip who is missing on 9-11. She was last seen on 9-10. Her apartment was near the World Trade Center.  There is no indication that she would of gone to the trade center. She vanished. No remains were ever found nor any sightings. I guess from 9-11 there are only 2 people that were never accounted for and she is one.

It is really sad when you get excited about a cleaning tool.  I bought myself a spin mop. It does make mopping fun. Am I even allowed to say that?  I was inspired by gocleanco instagram. I even got their book.

I have been at this homemaking thing for a while.  I am not the best homemaker. This can definitely up your homemaking game if you are so inclined.

I guess it is controversial to post this. I feel very lucky to have gotten my first dose last weekend. I want to do my part. I was only able to get it because I care for a disabled person. I get my 2nd dose at the end of the month.

The Daily Roll 3.15.20

I decided to start a new series Daily Roll from the Honeypot. Since we are in a self imposed lock down due to school being shutdown until April 24th. I thought I would share my journal/interesting links/and what the heck is happening here at the honeypot. I hope you will find some helpful stuff but mostly I hope you can laugh with me.

My children are unimpressed with my new series.What are my children doing? My oldest son(21) is in college and next week is FINALS. So he is studying for his online finals. My younger son(17) is trying to get over a sinus cold. So he is basically lounging around playing on his computer. I did get him to learn some piano.

The Case of the Missing Hit - Ever get a song stuck in your head and then google it because you only know three lines of the song.

Lastly, I don't know about you all but later in the day my anxiety creeps in. I get tired of my people. I am hoping the wind dies down later this week and we can get out of our house for a walk for a change of scenery.

Googling My Way Through Life - Unsolved Crimes and Amateur Sleuths

Oh once or twice I have fallen into the unsolved crime black hole. I found myself googling all kinds of things.

Recently in Seattle they had Crimecon- Crowd Solve where experts and amateur sleuths got together to go over two cold cases that they hope to crack. These cases were out of Thurston County in Washington state. There is also a podcast called Hide and Seek which investigates Nancy Moyers missing person case. That was one of the cold cases that Crimecon was working on. The Podcast is a good one and hosted by all things an insurance agent, James Baysinger,  turned amateur sleuth.

There is also whole forum for this called Websleuths not related to Crimecon.

Googling My Way Through Life - Podcast Binge

I often use google to look for new podcasts to listen to.  I like true crime podcasts but I like a variety. I kept hearing people talk about a new podcast they were binge listening too - Dateline -The Thing About Pam.  I really enjoyed it and each episode was not overly long. Pam is a real gem I tell ya. Give it a listen
