50 Sun Project Wrap Up and New Project

 

I thought I would just sum of this project of taking 50 sunrise and sunset photos. I did complete the mission.  I would do a few things differently in hindsight. Most of that was administrative.  

I would have created a separate file and labeled those photos.  I took a lot more than 1 photo of each sunrise and sunset. It made things complicated

I would have made better plans for different locations.  This is not as easy as it sounds at first. It is surprisingly hard to get really good photos that are slightly different each time.

I loved how so many people sent me sunrise/sunset photos - my best friend, husband, sister.  This turned into so much more. By the way their photos were quite frankly way better than mine.

NEW PROJECT

New Year so I thought new project. This is going to be a little different type of project.  I am really interested in getting better at genealogy, so this project is going to involve 52 ancestors but in reality, it is going to be 13 ancestors.  I would like to research 13 of my ancestors and come up with a better way to write about them and share the information. The tentative name is going to be the DEAD FILES but not like the show. I will be sharing details in the new year.

Well, I bet all my readers are excited to see the end of this project. 

Took my 50/50 photo on the first sunset of my 51st year.   It was a windy one. It took an extra person to help me hold this sign up.

 This is a bit of disappointing sunset and it happened at 5:01 pm. I am counting it as I made a special trip to capture. Taken on 11/8/22

I had a rare date night with my husband which involved steak, Walmart, and a sunset. Cheers to a Thursday sunset.  11/3/22. We tried a new location to chase the sunset at a local park. My picture above and my husband's below. Look how I have turned this into a group project.

There is a theme here with dueling views of the sunsets and sunrises. My picture is above probably a little past sunrise, and my husband really nailed it below with the pictures of the sunrises Oct 27.

Started the day with a beautiful sunrise from Loveland, Colorado. (Oct 21,2022)

 Saturday, Oct 2, we took a little drive outside of town and stopped in a parking area and took some sunrise shots. We were literally next to the freeway. 

 

Life is too short. Make sure you meet the sunrise or chase the sunset. Do it with the one's you love!

These were taken from our favorite Whataburger in El Paso.  We stop here when we are flying in and out of El Paso. It is a very urban sunset.

 Last September I posted my first Sunset picture and an idea for a project to celebrate my 50th Year.(More Details) In November I will turn 51 and the project will be complete.  I started in Oct so I technically gave myself one extra month.  50Sun 1/150. I still have 12 more pictures to take so I thought. I went back and realized I skipped pictures 14, 15, and 16.  So I have 15 photos to take after this photo
