Googling My Way through Life - Autumn Crocus aka Naked Ladies

My friend and I were admiring these flowers at Tennant Lake.  Turns out they are Autumn Crocus also known as Meadow Saffron and Naked Ladies. The name Naked Ladies makes my inner 5th grader laugh. Turns out they aren't real crocus but part of the lily family. Proper name is Colchicum Autumnale. These bloom in late summer and early autumn. Oh this plant is HIGHLY toxic if ingested - FYI.
