Dear Diary For the past year and half I have been listening to after dinner music. At first it was quite jarring. You see my son was learning to play the trumpet and at first it didn't make the best after dinner music. I am really proud of how my son has stuck with it. I wasn't in band so maybe I didn't really have the proper appreciation for band music.
practicing before concert in band uniform
My dog is still not convinced that trumpet music is his favorite. He does like to sing/whine/bark along
Got this stuck in my head thanks to the masked singer. Today seems hard and May 4 is the extension of our state's stay home order. It is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My attitude wasn't the greatest today. Lucky I get a new day tomorrow to have a better attitude.
What is for dinner or do we start calling it the "BIG SHOW"?

What is going right Today
Hey we had coffee cake and COFFEE for breakfast. Our beans are from Black Rifle Coffee. It is the best coffee.
I sewed 2 face masks. They are janky but they will work.
My youngest son is attending his first marching competition with his high school . So I thought I would give him some encouragement. He has come a long long way. Check out my Diary Entry on Dinner Music.
Oldest is doing his last final. I haven't said what he is studying - Computer Networking. I think the finals are A+ Hardware and Software. Don't quote me on that.
My youngest son worked on his English homework and figured out that his band teacher had put the parade music on canvas. He also put up our circle swing for my oldest. We take it down in the winter.
What's Dinner?
I was so hoping dinner would make itself. My people watch A LOT of food network they sure didn't learn anything from it that actually translates into actual cooking.
Hamburgers and Fries
Mix and Match Muffin Mix - Good Cheap Eats Jessica Fischer. I added frozen blueberries from my garden and Nonna's. I also added almond extract. I didn't have greek yougurt so used sour cream.I thank my 2019 self for putting this in the freezer
The Art of Noticing
Went for a walk with our dog Tigger. He is missing recess. Our house backs up on a school playground and I swear he knows the recess schedule. He loves to go out and bark at the kids. So even the virus is effecting my dog's social life. (Ha, Ha)
How I wasted my time today - (Just half way kidding)
The world definitely seems topsy turvey. May your Toilet Paper Roll be on correctly. Below is my daily journal for the day. Hopefully you can laugh at me in the new reality we live in.
#1 Question : What is For Dinner?
Turkey Meat Balls and spaghetti with garlic bread
How is your pantry and freezer looking? It is a legit question, am I right!
What Are My Co-Worker Doing?
As little as possible it appears. One spent all day pantless despite numerous protests from me.
Good news is my Hubby and number 1 back up is headed home from his job assignment.
INSPO
Sad to hear of Kenny Rogers death. My Mom and Dad are big Kenny Rogers fans so I grew up listening to that kind of music. It is the soundtrack of my early childhood. I love Dolly's and Kenny's friendship.
PROJECTS
So beautiful out I worked on some weeding. Yesterday I had some old seeds so I started those in my little tray greenhouse. If they sprout, it will be fabulous. Something I know about myself is my spring garden self is full of hope and my August garden self has usually petered out.
I heard some seeds are scarce as Toilet Paper. Homesteaders of America is going to be starting a YouTube series on Monday How to Grow food. Is this going to start a modern day Victory Garden movement? Grow A Victory Garden
We got a pretty early start and cached on. We joked that we couldn't escape Rachel Nevada as it was in sight most of the day. We did about 131 caches and decided we need to just drive. The constant getting out of the car was just plain tiring. We did eventually get back to caching. We ended up with 160 caches for the day.
Yes, a cow with antenna.
Most of the ET Highway is open range. On the second day, we saw lots of cows and an actual cowboy herding cows across the highway. I wouldn't drive the highway in the dark to much of chance of running into cows. We saw a dead cow on the side of the road. We also saw some wild horses as well.
Highlight caches
In Memory Of Sgt Stevenson- (GCYEWH) -This cache was placed in memory of Sgt. Howard Stevenson who was shot and killed on Jan. 9th 2005. He was an avid Geocacher and loved to spend time in the Nevada desert. This cache was a bit of a hike and search up a hill. The view was awesome
View from the cache. You can barely see the car.
Oh Bucket (GCI6VQ3)- This one had a clever container and we have no idea what the huge bucket was used for. But even better this cache was across from a rest area.
Me standing by the bucket. Oh by the way, I am 5'7"
We spent in Tonopah. The Best Western had a recent remodel and I thought the rooms were really nice. The mattress was superb. We ate dinner across the street a the Tonopah Brewing Company. They were also going to have live music that evening. the food and beer was great. The motel also served a hot breakfast.
