I changed it up a bit this year. I added Spanish moss to coffee mugs and coffee pots. I also have the skeleton hands. Hands from the Dollar Tree.  The Fortune sign is also from the Dollar Tree.  I really like it. Now if I can only get the bottom shelf from being a dumping ground for my family.

Gothic Floral Coffee Halloween China Cabinet

Sometimes I get an idea and I just can't let go of it. Like I told a friend it makes sense in my brain. Doing creative things like this make me happy. I was inspired by an Instagram kevrosefarm and their cabinet. I also was inspired by Kara's Party Ideas and the Moody Fortune Teller Party. 

The Details

I wrapped cardboard with chalkboard wrapping paper from Hobby lobby to turn the back of cabinet matte black. I think it makes the decor pop.

BIG SHOT COFFEE SIGN

My husband makes these wonderful shot up picture frames from gun range target frames.  I convinced him to make this chalk board sign to hang above my kitchen sink.  My kitchen has a lot of coffee decor.  Hey, I lived in the Pacific Northwest where you can't throw a rock without hitting a coffee stand.  I spent a lot of time trying to come up with a catchy saying . I finally settled on "Home of Big Shot Coffee".

I traced the letters onto chalkboard. I used the technique found at Jenna Sue Design Co.  I used regular chalk on all the letters except the "O". It was a whole lot of chalk dust. I borrowed my son's pencil sharpener to sharpen the chalk to a point.  On the "O" I used a cooper chalk pen. After sitting with it for a bit we decided it wasn't popping enough and colored the "O" in with a cooper and gold chalk pen. We wanted the "O" to look like the end of a bullet casing. I have another post on Chalk Lettering for those of you who want to learn how to hand letter.

My husband also made me a really cool sunburst/half sun with roached target frames too.

Goodwill Coffee Love

I found the coffee grinder at GOODWILL. I couldn't pass it up for $5. I wouldn't grind coffee beans with it but I think it looks pretty good up there. I think that completes my whole coffee decor look.

Coffee Decor Goodness

I have slowly been changing my decor in my kitchen to coffee. Coffee is king in the Pacific Northwest. I have been talking about this cute red coffee pot I saw in the local junk shop. I think I talked about it too much as my Mom fronted me some of the money and my hubby purchased it for me. I guess everyone was sick of hearing about my lovely red coffee pot. I think it looks adorable up there with my chicken and dollar store chalkboard. Thanks Mom and Giant Man Child.

A Wild Hair

The other day I was inspired to finish painting my kitchen/family room area. My kitchen is coffee themed. My friend, Mrs Epi, got me some coffee inspired vinyl. I have to say I am really pleased with the results. The Coffee House sign looks painted. I have some coffee words that need to be put up also.
