You know I need to add to my seasonal eyeball decor. This board has chalkboard paint on a scrap piece of wood and the writing is in chalk. I did a bit of tracing on this.

Whatever you do DON'T google Halloween tablescapes. There is some over the top one's out there which have me say," How do they even eat at that table".

I like to use my wood box in my tablescape and I like to use what I have.  I have had the mice for a number of years along with the Spanish moss and frayed pumpkin. I have never put them together in this box. I like it.

October Reading

Celine by Peter Heller - I am going to name this one of my best reads of 2019.  I really enjoyed this mystery/missing person story.  I agree with some other reviewers that Celine is perhaps more interesting as the private investigator than the actual missing person story. Celine is a well thought out character with most excellent back story. I would love to read some more stories with Celine as the main character. I could see this being made into a movie.

The Reckless Oath We Made by Bryn Greenwood - This was a book recommend by Ali Edwards. This book was interesting. Gentry is Zee's champion. Zee is a woman with issues a tall redhead and definitely not a princess in most people's eyes. Gentry both shy and autistic is really into knights and codes of honors. He has chosen Zee to champion. This story was one I found myself thinking quite a lot about. Isn' t that what a good book is suppose to do? I like how the character with autism character was developed. It was more about his moral compass and less about his autism. I think this would be a good book club discussion book.

Googling My Way Through Life - Podcast Binge

I often use google to look for new podcasts to listen to.  I like true crime podcasts but I like a variety. I kept hearing people talk about a new podcast they were binge listening too - Dateline -The Thing About Pam.  I really enjoyed it and each episode was not overly long. Pam is a real gem I tell ya. Give it a listen

Googling My Way Through Life - Marching Band Competitions

My son is in marching band. During show season he plays the Mellophone. During regular band he plays the french horn and in Jazz Band he plays the trumpet.  This kids is happiest with a horn in his hand.

It seems like I spend a lot of time googling Marching Band things - such as Tumwater Marching Band Competition or Kamaik Music in Motion. I have looked up so many things on Facebook now DCI (Drum Corp International) things keep popping up.

These competitions are intense preparation. It takes a lot of parents to move a Marching Band. The kids put countless hours to perform this show. The preparation starts back in August. So proud of these kids.

Googling My Way Through Life - How many flavors of Hi-Chews?

I cannot lie. I really love some Hi-Chews also known as the Chewy Fruit Candy.  This is a Japanese Candy that now is made in a North Carolina.

According to the bag there are over 113 flavors. The costco bag contains 4 flavors - green apple, grape, mango, and strawberry.
