Is this a collection?

 

I got this cedar shingle painting from my mom. It used to be in her kitchen. I put in my kitchen.  I have kind of a floral design going on.

Then I spotted this at a local thrift store, and I hung it in my kitchen too. I think it is kind of folk art. I guess now I am into collecting cedar shingle paintings. Is two a collection?

Inappropriate Thoughts

We got to talk about luxury porta potty.  The wedding had a luxury port a potty trailer. It had AC, music, and hot water.  The men's side even had a urinal. It was lux.  This one came from Canada, and it was very worth it to my friends as it was set up in their front yard. The backyard was where the wedding was held. Sunrise Washrooms . I have been ruined for regular honeypots.

After a long night, a luxury porta potty is a welcomed sight.  Thanks, CT, for the photo. I might need to pledge my alliance to the luxury porta potty.

Deep Thoughts

I know so much wedding content.  I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on being an officiant.  I was honored and terrified to be asked.  I am glad that I practiced a lot though my son's got tired of hearing the ceremony.  I am so very happy for my niece.  She married such a lovely guy and funny to boot.  I thought the ceremony and reception were really magical.  I know that word gets thrown around a lot, but it was beautiful in every way.  I was so privileged to get to participate. It brought me a lot of joy to be able to do this one thing. I wish the couple all the love and many years of wedded bliss.

Everything is coming up Flowers

The wedding I was part of was held at my best friend's backyard. She has grown some amazing dahlias. They were so beautiful and added so much to the wedding decor. It was amazing to be able to cut in her garden. She did a wonderful job of growing so many beautiful ones.  I know she poured so much time and energy into this project. The one below is one of my favorites from her garden.

We used the majority of them in vases on the tables for the reception.

Weekly Roll - Wedding Bells and Bucket Lists

By the time you are reading this, I will have marked off officiating a wedding off my bucket list. I was so honored to be asked to officiate my niece's wedding. I didn't even realize until this spring it was on my bucket list. Thank you both for the opportunity.

Road Trip Podcast List

 I like to listen to podcasts on road trips. I find that I don't zone out so much. I am into unsolved crimes and missing people. Sometimes I shake it up with other things.  

The Vanished - this is about missing people. I especially like the ones where I am familiar with the location - Episodes 444 and 445 about Geoffrey Spangler (Las Cruces, NM) and Episodes Susan Marable (Yakima, WA)

Hide and Seek I think all 3 seasons are great. The first two seasons are cases in Washington State. I can wait for season 4.

Your Stupid Opinions - This is by two comedians and can be a bit on the raunchy side not suitable for all ages. They read through Yelp reviews. Some of the tamer episodes are - Episode 44 and Episode 46

I was given the senior discount at IHOP. I am not that old, but I am feeling that old. I also felt like I did the senior Olympics that day as I went to the social security office, IHOP, the doctor's office, and scheduled a mammogram.

EXTRA EXTRA Inappropriate Thoughts

If you show up at the lab after fasting and have incomplete lab work and told laughingly that you can't get your blood drawn. I think it is appropriate to want to throat punch the person laughing. I am not funny before coffee. I just thought it and I didn't do it.

Deep Thoughts

This one really stuck with me. This is me. Just do the hard thing is something I have to keep reminding myself.  

Trash Talk

Well, well, well, someone was cleaning their ears in the skate bowl. Ick!  Bro save that for home. There evidently was a celebration in the parking lot with fireworks and one golf club. They added a broken skateboard as decor to the picnic shelter.  Yeah, it was a good one. We even found 1 Allsup's taco packet.

Deep Thoughts

My son turned 26 this weekend. He is officially off of our insurance.  This is actually a big deal. I have been waging a war with his new insurance for him to get his medication. I wish things weren't complicated. There is so many rules and none of it actually are for the good of the patient. I could write a book on this stuff. It causes me uncontrollable rage inside of me. It is fine if you mess with me but a disabled person. Game on.
