Word to Your Mother - Lego Words

Legos by virtue of having children especially male children  have been become part of my decor.

My boys are now 19 and 15 so I thought my Lego days were over.  However I now watch a 7 year old and Legos are very much a thing.  Glad I hung onto our massive bin.  Sometimes, I get bored and go rogue.  7 year olds don't appreciate my greatness.

Lego Show and Tell

Chuck partcipated in the Lego Show and Tell at the library.  Chuck made a scene complete with a skeleton borrowed from his brother.

This is a much looked forward to event.  This is part of the Public Library's Summer Reading Program.  This has evolved from a competition to a show and tell.  I love listening to the kids descriptions of their projects. There was a vote for best in show plus a drawing for book bucks redeemable at the Friends of the Library Book Store.  There was a tie this year.

Because this was held much earlier in the day there were less partcipants than previous years. The creativity was amazing.

Neat Lego Book

Chuckles checked out this Lego book, Cool Robots by Sean Kenney, from the library.  Both him and Big E were really inspired by it. They have been putting in lot of time building these Lego Robots.

Ninja Rock Monsters

I never where I am going to find Lego's posed in my house. I couldn't decide if these were Ninja Rock Monsters or simply Towel Bandits. I keep a bucket of towels by the back door to dry off the dog. Hey, I live in the Pacific Northwest and wet dog is a common occurrence.

I found these Lego Rock Monsters nestled in the towels ready to pounce.
