Yes, you read that right. I don't think septic is area that I think budget. If this is the budget model, I wonder what luxury septic looks like.
Sometimes a honeypot is a welcome sight but when it is outside your dining room window it is urban blight.

Gardening
A few days of sunshine and I am ready to garden. I have been browsing the seed catalogs. I like to grow a few things mainly tomatoes. Last year, I was unable to snag my favorite cherry tomatoes, sungold at the master garden sale. (Those master garden sales are crazy. People get a little aggressive.) I would like to grow sungold cherry tomatoes and black cherry tomatoes. So, now I have to decide if I am going to mail order them or find them locally. In the past, I haven't been too successful in finding them in the local area. There is a lot of talk about rising food prices on various message boards. I guess more people are getting into the home garden thing. I stumbled across this article when researching cheap vegetable seeds. It is a short interesting read.

Lawn Ornaments
We spent the week in an over 55 adult mobile home park this past week. It is a really well kept up park and generally the trailers have really nice landscaping but there is a few with questionable lawn ornament placement. There is one that I didn't take a pic of that has so much lawn ornamentation that I am not sure you really can see the trailer. I was a little scared to take pics but I did take a few that just kinda cracked me up. This one is lonely like the wolf.
I would be howling too if I was surrounded by dead shrubbery. This one I had to pass every time I took the trash out. I kept thinking why is that elf peeking into the carport.
Nice old people and Good Food
This is what #1 son said when asked what he liked about visiting his Nonna and Pappy. We spent the last week in California doing repairs to Pappy's house. I think we brought the rain with us. I guess it was beautiful in the Pacific Northwest but it poured in California. We did an extreme makeover of Pappy's Kitchen. We installed new linoleum flooring. The giant man child did such a good job with this. It was hard to do as the room wasn't square and had a ton of things to cut out. We got rid of his old stove/cook top and installed a new stove and microwave. I never seen a cook top and overhead stove quite like he had in his house. We had to take it apart to get it out. Here is Pappy (very Vanna) with his new appliances and standing on the new floor.
We also painted the whole kitchen walls, ceiling, and cabinets. We also installed new base molding and ceiling molding. Here is all of us in the kitchen. It was quite the week.
I can't tell you how exhausted we were all at the end of this all. I am so proud of my hubby who also installed a newer door, did some roof work, cut and layed some pavers, replaced some electrical and completely rewire some things on top of all the stuff he did in the kitchen. He is the MAN.Friday, February 15, 2008
We are Hitting the Road
We are taking a road trip so I won't be posting next week. We are the last school district on earth that has a winter break and spring break. So, we are headed to California. Pray for us. Won't you all miss me:)

Life Jacket
Chuckles and the Diva playing adventure something. Note: the life jacket on Chuckles and the belt tail on the Diva. Are there days you feel like you need a life jacket? Chuckles has been wearing this around for the last couple of days. Evidently, this ship is going DOWN! Is it wrong to sayI need a life jacket, every day? I was just thinking about the things that keep me afloat during the day - God, hubby, friends, knowing eventually bedtime comes, that cherry coke is a good thing - a little caffeine never hurt anyone.
Saw this quote on another blog:
The most important thing she'd learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one." -Jill Churchhill

Hearts, Sweat, Tears
These are the start of Chuckles Valentine's Day Cards to hand out at school. You think I was killing him having to write his name two times. We have been slowly getting these done. We have been asking him to write his name twice a day. Oh my, there were tears. We have 10 out of the 26 we need for preschool. It kinda sucked the fun out of making Valentine's which I actually enjoy making. I offered to buy both boys Valentine's and both wanted to make them. Chuckle's told me," Valentine's Day is about hearts."

Girlfriends
I went to see 27 Dresses with two of my best gal pals. That is a good girl friend movie. I would have to say most of the audience was women, of course, there were a few poor token males there.(poor fellows) I thought it was funny and good movie. I needed to get out and it was perfect for that. I was just thinking how a good girl friend really is a gem. We were discussing girl pals gone bad and I was thinking how lucky I am to have some terrific talented beautiful from the inside out ladies to pal around with. Thanks for hanging out with me and laughing with me (or at me-lol).

Desk Intervention
Mom , just look away. You raised me right but I am a clutter bug. I have never watched the show intervention but I think I need a desk intervention. Where is Peter Walsh when you need him? He is the organizer that appears on Oprah. At MOPS, we had Julie Clarke, a professional organizer, come in and speak. (http://www.organizedatlast.biz) I have heard her speak before and I realized my desk had a problem. The first step is admitting you have a problem, right. I hope by posting this photo to the world it will spur me into action. It could happen - stop giggling Ms Respiratory Therapist and my lil sis - Mish. Stay tuned for the after photo.
This would make an awesome I SPY puzzle. Can you find: 3 keyboards, Portable Hard Drive, Xbox Controller- (I don't even own an x box), Spanish Dictionary(I don't speak spanish), rock, the printer, piano music (don't ask).
