Last week we noticed Turkey Vultures circling around. On our walk last week, we spotted these vultures in a neighborhood tree. Last year the vultures were here about the same time. I believe these are migrating as the temperatures rise down south. There were around 20 vultures in various pine trees spread over a couple of yards. A couple days ago there were only 5 in the tree. It is fascinating.
Some turkey vultures or turkey buzzards do migrate. It is a bit unnerving to walk under these pines and see so many in one area. Last year they were here for a couple of weeks.
